Active journalism clubs and associations within the college foster a sense of community among students. These groups organize events, workshops, and conferences, enabling students to collaborate and learn from one another.
Known as the “Missouri Method,” the University of Missouri’s School of Journalism prioritizes experiential learning. Students here can work for the school’s newspaper, the Columbia Missourian, and the NBC-affiliated television station, KOMU-TV. This hands-on approach prepares graduates for the fast-paced world of journalism.
