Tom Burckardt, who spent his professional career in software development, has completed his new book, “The Happy Chipmunk”: a cute story about a confused little chipmunk. Burckardt spends much of his time tending his garden and roomy backyard. He loves animals both in his home and in his backyard and finds it amusing to imagine how humans must appear to them.
The story is cleverly illustrated by Colleen Dopico, an emerging Hudson Valley artist with her master’s in fine arts from CUNY Lehman. She is an NYS-certified teacher and teaches high school digital art.
